Delhi Police has arrested 24-year-old Nadeem Ahmed Ameen for allegedly creating and circulating a fabricated AI-generated video that falsely portrayed ACP Vivek Bhagat in sexually inappropriate conduct with a woman journalist. Police said the manipulated footage was presented as genuine CCTV and circulated through social media.Police said Bhagat’s photograph, name and designation were displayed alongside the fabricated footage, creating the impression that he was the officer shown in the video. Investigators recovered a phone allegedly used to circulate the content and are probing the source of the video, funding and whether others were involved.Important: The AI-video case is separate from the complaints filed by women journalists over alleged inappropriate conduct during the October 3 Jantar Mantar protest.
