Delhi Police has removed Jantar Mantar from the list of designated protest venues and named three alternative locations for demonstrations: Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground and CBD Ground in East Delhi. The decision was announced on October 12, 2026, through a standing order issued by Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar dated October 11. The order follows recommendations from a committee constituted by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to examine alternative venues for public protests. A revised standard operating procedure for demonstrations at the new locations is expected to be issued separately. n18oc_plain-speak n18oc_india CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
