A confrontation broke out between police and a large group of people in Ujjain on Monday at the site where a portion of the Shahi Masjid is proposed to be demolished for a road-widening project.The situation turned tense as stones were hurled at security personnel, following which police fired tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.
