A 1998 graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Dr. Naoum went on to complete his residency in general surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He followed up with a fellowship in vascular surgery at the prestigious Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Naoum moved to the Middle where he joined the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the University Medical Center Rizk Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon, and also opened a clinic in Doha, Qatar where he delivered expert care to patients from the MENA region and South Asia for several years. He has returned to the Houston Methodist Hospital System, joining the staff at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital.

Board-certified in vascular surgery, Dr. Naoum is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery (ABS).  The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

Professionally, Dr. Naoum is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).

Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty in which diseases of the vascular system, including the arteries, veins, and lymphatic circulation, are managed by medical therapy, minimally invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction. A vascular surgeon diagnoses, treats, and manages conditions in the arteries and veins, also called the blood vessels.
